In today’s blog, we will learn the different reasons one would visit the hospital in Korea.
Unlike medical clinics most countries have, Korea hospitals are the main place to go for outpatient treatment, whether you need flu medication, a stitch or even a IV vitamin drip. So if you hear a Korean say “I’m going to the hospital”, he might just be having a small flu.
왜 병원에 가요? = Why are you going to the hospital
감기에 걸렸어요 = I caught a cold
기침이 심해요 = i have a bad cough
열이 나요 = I have a fever
Let’s learn some useful vocabulary related to illness and the hospital for any medical emergencies you might face when you visit Korea:

Accident(traffic accident) = 사고 (교통사고)
Broke = 부러뜨리다
