In today’s blog we will be learning the phrase “눈이 높다” in Korean!

 

눈 = eye

높다 = high

 

The phrase put together by the below 2 words literally means, your eye is high but it is actually to imply that one has high standard in seeing/judging this.

 

It’s easy to use this phrase when describing someone that is hard to please or have high standards for people or things.

 

You can use the below sentence formation as an example to how this phrase can be used:

My sister = 언니가 

because she has high standards = 눈이 높아서 

doesn’t have a boyfriend = 남자친구가 없어요

 

My sister doesn’t have a boyfriend because she has high standards = 언니가 눈이 높아서 남자친구가 없어요.
