#39 - 신나요

#39 - 신나요

In today’s blog we will be learning the expression 신나요 which means to be excited or elated.

Together with 신나요, 신이 난다 or 신나다 is the most easy and common way to express delight, excitement or happiness.

Other ways to express excitement in Korean can be:

들뜬 = To be excited (to the point of giddiness)

흥분하다 = To be excited or worked up

While being positive in nature, 들뜬 and 흥분하다 might sound negative when asked

sentence.

For example:

왜 들뜨고있어? / 왜 이렇게 흥분하니? = Why are you so agitated?

In modern Korean, 흥분 is also used as a sexual slang to describe being excited sexually/horny. So be careful when you use them!
